2018- sees the start of a runners dream- joining in with like minded people; running in stunning locations; getting some great running coaching; eating; drinking; laughing...should I go on!

Marie Bean (the original Lazy Runner) is on the move- she has just acquired a wonderful heritage listed house (Hawthorn Lodge circa 1869) in Bushy park , Tasmania, its only 15 minutes from Tasmania's oldest national park- Mount Field- and she thought- "I know lets get all my running buddies down here for amazing running weekends".

The 2018 weekends kick off in Feb and we suggest you get yourself or your group booked in fast- we take a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 in a running weekend group. Our weekends are such great value and lots of fun- we aim to run, eat, drink, laugh and enjoy.

The running weekends see you running (or walking) 4 magnificent runs over the weekend- a great way to kick up your training kms; or boost your motivation and increase fitness levels- but more importantly these weekends are for you to enjoy running and have some fun in a stunning running environment with great running buddies.

Run 1- Tour starts Friday 4pm- Derwent River Run 5-7km
Run 2- Saturday Morning-City Run- Your choice of 15km, 10km, 5km- Great way to view the city
Run 3- Saturday Afternoon- Marriott Falls- 6km- stunning waterfall and very much offroad run
Run 4- Sunday Morning- Mount Field- 3 waterfalls run- approx 7km

Lazy Runner Running Weekend Timetable
Friday Afternoon- Arrive in Hobart- Transfer to Hawthorn Lodge
Run 1- stop at the famous Bush Inn for a drink (Australias oldest licensed hotel)
Carb Loading Dinner and Welcome Drinks back at Hawthorn Lodge
Saturday Morning- Breakfast at Hawthorn Lodge then Run 2-After Run- after we drop you off to Salamanca Markets for a browse or shop and lunch
Saturday Afternoon- Run 3- then Drinks and Dinner at the Mount Field National Hotel
Sunday Morning- Run 4- Mount Field National Park, taking in the stunning Russell Falls, Horseshoe Falls and Hearty Fully cooked BBQ breakfast afterwards
Transfer back to airport or Hobart.

All transfers from and to Hobart Airport or Hobart and to and from each run
Accommodation for Two nights at Hawthorn Lodge- Doubles or Triple share
